Match 44 of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL)2025 between the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) was called off due to bad weather and nonstop rain at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens. Both teams received one point each as a result of the washout.

This result  means the Punjab kings move to fourth nine games , while the kinghts riders occupy seventh place with seven points from nine games . Gujarat titans , delhi capitals and royal challenges Bengaluru, all with 12 points , hold the first  three places respectively

The game began with priyansh Aryan and prabhsimran singh stitching a strong partner of 120 runs , before captian Shreyas lyer chipped in some runs  in a partnership with prabhisimran, helping the king posts a top scored with 83 while priyansh scored 69 . The chase began with KKR scoring seven of their first over , before the covers came on , and persistent rain and lighting led to the game being called off.
